Joaquin Phoenix Is Edgy Again, Maybe

This "documentary" is on my short list of upcoming films to see this Fall. Phoenix has come up the ranks through great Indy movies (To Die For, Clay Pigeons) and onto scene stealing (and arguably movie stealing) from top line stars in Hollywood blockbusters (Gladiator, Signs). And then the true sign an actor has gotten too big or popular: they start to do really, really shitty ass films. Sadly enough, Joaquin followed this same trajectory until he apparently lost his mind somewhere, or maybe he didn't.

Just because I smoke too much dope, that doesn't make me any different from most people. I like to see the popular guy fall on his face, lose his hair or get v.d. from some prostitute. Phoenix may have fallen off the mountain top of pop culture, but it looks like he has done so in spectacular fashion. Bravo.
