So we are fucking up the earth pretty good and that means, not activism or government and corporate responsibility, but more Hollywood movies about post-fucked up earth. With global warming and unhinged weather, it's probably easier to ignore it by going to the movies.

Tom Cruise has a few dystopian films kicking around his filmography. Oblivion looked gorgeous with sexy spaceships and a crumbling New York City, but it might as well have been a live action WALL-E. Doesn't look like a good marijuana movie, but then again, none of Cruises' films make the stoner grade. Stick with the Top Gun & Mission Impossible films.

Do what you want, fellow stoner film aficionados, but I would skip everything else and go right to A Boy and His Dog. A telekinetic dog and his human friend, a young Don Johnson, scampering around the wasteland just trying to survive. Get a little stoned and maybe rent Road Warrior for a good double feature. So be a little rugged, roll a joint and enjoy.
