The Beach Bum takes place in Florida on December 1999. I’m not clear on the plot besides Matthew McConaughey in this rarefied air of a role as surfer Moondog with Harmony Korine at the helm of this project. I’m on board. This might not be the movie we deserve, but it’s the one we need.
