Weather Report: Windy with a Chance of Sharknado
Sharknado came out less then a month ago on the SyFy network, blew up the internet, was released in 200 movie theaters last week and reminded the world not only the power of shark-appeal, but that Tara Reid was still alive.
This film does take all the best worst attributes of many terribly great films (The Room for shitty film & video stock cutting, Anaconda for crap CGI and a variety of B-films for casting actors whose fame has faded to a very low wattage). So the film is contrived for maximum badness and the release date is far to close to Shark Week to be coincidence, however it is wretched enough that it took me three sitting and a few grams of weed to get through this.
I guess what I am saying is that I am conflicted on liking or disliking this too much. But it is an instant cult classic for concept alone and I do want to see more weather/shark related films so bring it on.
