The Vampire's Kiss of Reality

What is happening? What is real?

Just as Nick Cage may or may not be turning into a vampire, the myth, the lie and the psychic collateral damage to the soul is indeed real. Social unrest. Armed insurrection. Dying planet. Worldwide pandemic. Four bloody checkmarks against all of us. This is not a race. This finish line doesn’t exist. No one wins.  

I get that many of us are running for the exits from this horrible reality. When we can’t face up to fact, we decide we are turning into a creature that feeds on human blood and cannot be exposed to the sun. We are all sitting in the basements of our soul, squinting hard into our screens, searching for answers of our own beliefs. Do I crave blood or do I need to talk to a shrink? I honestly don’t know anymore.
